This wonderfully rich body butter soothes the skin and refreshes with a scent all at once refreshing and calming. The not too strong scent is evocative of fresh tropical fruits and sea breezes. It is mild enough to use liberally before going to work in my restaurant kitchen where no perfume is allowed, but lasting so that I still smell lovely and not like roast beef and onions after the big rush, when it's time to great the regulars. My skin still feels moist and smooth after a long shift in front of the stove. I am also an ardent fan of the avocado hand butter. I have yet to find another product that soothes my rather abused hands with such an amazing scent.
This is a very odd product in that it has wonderful texture, smell and consistency, but no ability to absorb into the skin at all. I'm not exaggerating to make a point here; I mean its capacity to do more than lay on your skin's surface is zero. I noticed this when, the first time I tried it, I'd put it on after my morning shower. After my regular work day, I eventually ended up at the gym around 8pm in the evening. An hour and a half later, after working up a serious sweat, I noticed this white sheen on my arms as I was toweling off. Sure enough, it was the avocado body butter that I'd rubbed on almost 16 hours before hand. It'd just been laying on top of me the entire time.
Anyway, if for some reason this is what you want or expect from a moisturizer, this is definitely for you, but this is the last time I'll be purchasing it.
