I have extremely oily skin. This product doesn't control oil any better than other "regular" moisturizers or sunscreens I've used not intended for that purpose. The shine on my face develops within a couple of hours, in spite of also using cleansers and masks for oily skin. I have yet to find any product that works to control the shine on my face without blotting excessively throughout. I'm still looking.

I started using this a few months ago after my old standby oil control lotion started to fail.
In the morning I wash with the Effaclar Foaming Gel, follow with the toner, and then put this on my face and allow it to dry. I follow with my makeup. I've found I only have to blot a couple of times a day even in the heat of summer (temps of 95 and up with heat indexes into 110 range). Not sure what they put into this but it really works well and doesn't tend to break down in the heat.
