This is really an awesome cream. Being 40 I still have oily areas and then have dry areas and this cream takes care of both! I dont have to worry about breakouts in the t-zone. I would say that yes, it's best as a night cream or a day when your aren't going to wear alot of makeup. The smell is fresh but not over powering. I'm in Wisconsin and this has helped me weather two Winters now! bravo.
This is a great fast-absorbing moisturizer that really seems to hydrate deeply. The only problem is that it has a noticeable white residue/film that makes wearing sunscreen or makeup on top very difficult. You can only really wear this at night without your skin looking pasty/flaky.
I'm on retin-a right now hoping to fix some of my wrinkles, and its made my skin dry, flaky and kind of red. I use just a small amount of this on my driest areas - on my cheeks and neck since my t-zone is breakout prone. Anyway, the texture is amazing, rich and balmy, but not greasy - your skin just drinks it up. My skin feels and looks so dewy and alive afterwards and every morning, my skin looks refreshed and ready to take on another dry, wintery day. I've used Creme de la Mer in the past, and so far, I actually prefer this. I think anyone with dry, sensitive or irritated skin needs to try this stuff.
