Working at top salons with high profile clients, John Masters began his career as a stylist in the 1970s in New York City. As his personal interest in organics grew and he began to realize the health risks of working around toxic salon chemicals every day, Masters started experimenting with organic and non-toxic ingredients to create a luxury-organic hair care line, working solely from his New York City apartment. In an effort to keep hair and body as healthy and pure as possible, John Masters Organics products use wild-harvested ingredients and cold-pressed and steam-distilled extracts in place of ingredients such as Ammonia and sulfates. With the Citrus & Neroli Detangler, Aloe Vera is used to soften the hair and soothe the scalp, while Lemon and Neroli smooth hair follicles and placate stressed strands.
